Who operates this site
Story Archive Editorial Desk operates this independent static archive. Privacy, rights and deletion requests can be submitted through the public contact page.
Essential local storage
Language, bookmarks, reading history, per-story reading position, local-only audience totals and the consent record are stored in the reader’s browser. These records are not synchronized across devices or transmitted merely because they are stored locally.
Optional audience measurement
Optional providers are disabled by default. GA4 may load only after analytics consent. Meta Pixel may load only after marketing consent and only on the home and library pages; it is blocked from individual story pages.
Meta Pixel and advertising measurement
If enabled after consent, Meta may receive a PageView and technical information such as page URL, referrer, IP address, browser or device information and Meta cookie identifiers. The site does not use advanced matching or send names, email addresses or phone numbers.
Sensitive-theme safeguard
Individual stories may mention health, pregnancy, disability, violence or family crises. Meta Pixel is therefore blocked from every individual story page, and story titles, categories, reading progress, bookmarks and shares are not intentionally sent as Meta events.
Cookies, retention and recipients
The consent record is kept for up to 180 days. If Meta Pixel is enabled with consent, Meta may set identifiers such as _fbp or _fbc and process data under its own policies and Business Tools Terms, which state Event Data may be retained for up to two years.
Your choices
Optional services stay off until the reader chooses. Privacy choices can be reopened from the footer at any time. Withdrawing consent stops future optional events but does not undo processing already completed by a provider.
